Brianna Danielle Smith
January 2, 1995-----December 11, 1997

Brianna is the "Angel Baby" of Cyndi and David Smith of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Brianna was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in children in February 1997. Brianna had a medulla blastoma. (brain tumor) Brianna was treated at Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. She was there for nine long months.

Brianna loved Barney and Mickie and Minnie Mouse. She also loved her M & M's! She knew her complete alphabet and could count to 20.  Brianna's pediatrician told us that she had the vocabulary of a four year
old at the age of two and a half.

Brianna was the first grandchild of Jody Coffing of Covington, Indiana, who founded "Cardinal Country Designs" in order to raise money to help her family with expenses. Brianna is still the "Light of a grandmother's heart"
and still inspires designing. Some of her "archived" designs are being donated to be sold to help raise money for cancer in her memory. These designs will be ones from the quilt that her "gwamaw" used on a quilt for her that
was kept with her at the hospital.
